Larry Joseph Trahan

Trahan, Larry J. age 72, of Colerain Township, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. He was born in Mobile, Alabama on November 29, 1949 to Darrel Arthur "Red" and Mary Trahan (nee Givens). Larry married Gail Ann Trahan in 1975. He was employed with Ford Motor Company in Sharonville, retiring in 2008. Larry served many positions with the UAW Local 863. During his time, he was elected Skilled Trades Chairman from 1987-1996; Bargaining Committeeman from 2003-2005; and Plant Chairman from 1999-2002 and again from 2005-2008.

Larry had many interests including, scuba diving (swam with Manatees) and being a pilot. He loved biking, first with 2 wheels and most recently with 3 wheels. Larry enjoyed tent camping and moved on to his prize A-liner camper.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Christopher D. Trahan; his brother, Dennis Trahan; and sister-in-law, Cyndy Braun. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Gail A. Trahan (nee Braun); his son, Matthew (Dina) Trahan; his grandchildren, Caleb, Austin, Issac and Ethan; his brothers, Skip (Michelle) Trahan of Frisco City, AL and Perry (Rickie) Trahan of Crestview, FL; his beloved sister-in-law, Diana Trahan; and brother-in-law, Greg Braun. He also leaves nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 6:00 pm until the time of service at 7:30 pm Friday, December 10, 2021 at Newcomer Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.
