Joseph Parker

Joseph Parker, age 81, of Union, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024. He was born in Gumlick, Kentucky on August 12, 1942 to Kennett Parker and Georgina Parker Satterwhite (nee Carter).

Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Mona "Ding" Parker (nee Ray); children, Peggy (Mark) Coleman, Kennett Parker, Judy (Bill) Macy, Michael Parker, Cindy (Phillip) Dennis, Andy (Priscilla) Parker and Bill (Lisa) Kidwell; 20 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Mike (Carla) Satterwhite; and a host of other family members and friends.

Joe attended Bethesda Baptist Church and Beaverlick Baptist Church. He was a talented musician, most recently playing bass with local bluegrass bands. Although music was his passion, his favorite moments were spent with his grandchildren. Joe was a people person, never meeting a stranger and always making jokes.

In loving memory of Joe, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org. A visitation will be held Friday, January 12, 2024 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm with a service to follow at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northern Kentucky Chapel, 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018. Burial will take place immediately following at Sand Run Baptist Church Cemetery in Hebron, Kentucky.
