Robert J. "Bob" Roedersheimer, age 93, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024.
He was a devoted father, grandfather, and family member. Bob loved sports and competition, participating in many sports throughout his life and cheering for his favorite Cincinnati sports teams (Go Reds and Bengals!). He could often be found golfing, playing baseball and cards, fishing, and testing his luck on the slot machines. He also loved to travel, spending many memorable days in the Florida sunshine. With each activity, he most enjoyed participating with family members.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 23, 1930, Bob was the youngest son of Willard and Wilhelmina Roedersheimer (nee Kleene). He is survived by his children, Deborah (Ken) Schneider, Timothy (Sue) Roedersheimer, Mary Beth (Fred) VonAllmen, Jerry (Karen) Roedersheimer and Doug (Christina) Roedersheimer. He is the loving grandfather of 14 and great grandfather of 36. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, June Roedersheimer (nee Burling), his son Keith Roedersheimer and seven brothers and sisters.
A proud graduate of Elder High School, Bob had a long, successful career as a machinist and salesman at Western & Southern Financial Group. He worked hard throughout his life, but always found time to have fun. Bob lived his life to the fullest, loved people, and never met a stranger. He would often be seen with a microphone in hand singing the classics and particularly loved a good duet. He spent the last two years of his life at Hillebrand Nursing Home, where he befriended everyone and reveled in all social activities. Throughout it all, Bob always had a smile.
