Abraham "Sonny" Watkins Jr.

Abraham "Sonny" Watkins Jr., age 70 of Cincinnati passed away at Mercy Hospital – Mt. Airy on Friday, June 15, 2012. He was born in Cincinnati on July 14, 1941 the son of Abraham and Salley Lee (Knight) Watkins Sr. Sonny was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in the Vietnam Era from September 1960 until June 1964. He was a retired employee of General Motors.
He is survived by two daughters, Angela Watkins of Cincinnati, and Aimee Watkins of Covington, Kentucky; and a sister, Loretta and her husband Stanley Godhigh of Cincinnati. Sonny was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Watkins.
A graveside service will be held at the Dayton National Cemetery, 4100 W. 3rd Street, Dayton, Ohio 45428, on Friday, June 22, 2012 at 10:00 AM.
