Albert Lee Mason

Albert Lee Mason, age 64 of Cincinnati passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Mercy Mt. Airy Hospital. He was born on September 5, 1947 in Montgomery, Alabama the son of Frank Mason and Cornelius (Jackson) Turney. Al was a veteran of the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era, serving from 1965 until 1969. He was an accomplished baseball player who also loved fishing and being a vendor at the flea market.

He is survived by his daughter, Allisa and her husband Thaddeus Ketchum of Houston, Texas; and a son, Altaa Jackson of Cincinnati; two brothers, David and his wife Nancy Holmes of Cincinnati; Oree and his wife Shawn Turney of Cincinnati; three sisters, Gail Turney of Cincinnati, Emma Turney of Cincinnati, and Corrinda Ibrahim of Cincinnati; four grandchildren, Johnathon Jackson of Houston, Texas, Ta'naa Jackson of Atlanta, Georgia, Shantaya Jackson of Cincinnati, and Kayden Ketchum of Houston, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Jasper Holmes.

Cremation will be held at the convenience of the family.
