Albert Henry Tobergte, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, departed from this world on April 8, 2025, in Edgewood, Kentucky, at the age of 92. Born on November 26, 1932, in Erlanger, Kentucky, Albert was a man of deep faith and rich character whose presence brought joy to all who knew him.

Albert's steadfast Catholic faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding him through many trials and providing him with strength during difficult times. His unwavering commitment to his belief was evident to everyone around him, contributing to the warmth and light he shared with others. He always had a great story or a clever joke to tell, and particularly enjoyed chatting with his Amazon Alexa, often inquiring, "Alexa, tell me a joke?" His sense of humor was infectious and a source of entertainment for his family and friends.

A Navy veteran, Albert proudly served his country, and his time in the service played a significant role in shaping the man he became. He was fond of sharing stories from his formative years, reminiscing about the camaraderie and experiences that defined this era of his life.

For 64 years, Albert was devoted to his beloved wife, Janice, who predeceased him in 2020. Together they nurtured a loving family and built a life entwined with laughter and support. His children, Jennifer (David) Fields, Donna (Thomas) Chastang, Albert Matthew (Yvonne) Tobergte, Patricia Tobergte, Amy Hammons, and Holly (Brian) Houillion, will forever remember him as a proud father who instilled values of faith and love, demonstrating through his actions the importance of family.

As a grandparent, Albert’s legacy continues with his grandchildren: Heather (Josh) Wenning, Danielle (Anthony) Cain, Michael Chastang, Gregory Chastang, Jordan Fields, Adam Fields, Sarah Fields, Sydney Tobergte and Maria Tobergte. His great-grandchildren, Taylor Fields, Dax Fields, Andi Fields, and Kayleigh Fields, were also a source of immense pride and joy for him.

Throughout his life, Albert found solace and happiness in gardening, bird watching, and hunting. He created a beautiful environment around him wherever he went and had a particular knack for cultivating relationships with nature and family alike. During his time at Carmel Manor, he was well-loved by all and made a new life for himself, surrounded by friends and familiar faces.

He is survived by his beloved children and their families, who will carry forward his legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering faith. Albert Henry Tobergte will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege to know him. He was preceded in death by his father, Conrad Tobergte, mother, Mabel Tobergte (nee Finke), and siblings Bernard, Conrad, Bobby, Bill, John, and Charlotte. May he rest in peace, embraced by the love he so generously gave in life.
