Alean (Bryant) Glenn, the youngest of three children, was born August 17, 1925 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Margaret (Sanders) and Theodore Bryant. Her parents, as well as her siblings, Arthur Bryant, Grace (Bryant) Ross Crittenden and first born grandson, Troy Hitchcock precede her in death.
Alean attended St. Ann's grade school, Madonna High School and after a thirty-five year hiatus, graduated from the Hughes Adult Center in 1978. She continued her education at the University of Cincinnati.
An accomplished seamstress, Alean was an employee of Mack Shirt Factory, Safeguard Corp. Cushions and Eazy Way Inc. Ultimately; she retired from her position as a Unit Clerk at the University of Cincinnati Hospital.
Alean was a longtime resident of Silver Oak Estates /Garden Hills Cooperative Homes (1969-2009). She served on the Garden Hills Co-op Homes Board of Directors. In this capacity, she helped many families transition to affordable housing in Winton Hills.
For many years, Alean represented her community on the Board of the Winton Hills Medical Center.
A dedicated member of Mother of Christ Catholic Church in Winton Hills since 1969, she served multiple terms on the Parish Council. She was a committed volunteer in the Mother of Christ Food Pantry where her likeness continues to grace the walls. Additionally, she served as a Minister of Service for numerous years.
Alean married Ellis Hitchcock. She subsequently married Louis Glenn, Jr. Alean was the mother of three children: Oliver Hitchcock (Gloria) of New Bern, North Carolina, Vanessa Rozier (John) and Glen Glenn. She has six surviving grandchildren (Timothy Hitchcock (Mischa) of Columbus, Ohio, Maurice Riep, Mario Riep, Marcianna Harris (Ronald), Martina Ciers (Gregory) and Johnathan Rozier, sixteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Alean enjoyed traveling, sewing, bowling, Bingo and casino action. Alean, carried her diagnosis of Parkinson's disease with grace and courage for twenty three years.
Alean, a woman of faith, lived a blessed life.
