Alfred Borders was born in Harper, West Virginia on October 24, 1948 to Eugene Borders and Melvine A. (Price)Borders. He was called home on March 1, 2014.
Alfred graduated from Robert A Taft High School in Cincinnati, OH. He serviced his country in the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Purple Heart. He attended West Virginia University.He joined Golden Leaf Baptist Church in the year of 1989. He restored his membership in the year 1992.
In August of 1993, he joined Deborah Thompson in holy matrimony.
He was a true angler and passionate sports fan. He was a mentor for many.
He was preceded in death by father, Eugene Borders and brother, Larry Borders.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Deborah Borders; four children, Alfred Borders (Courtney), Amy Walton, Jennifer Mutters (Steven) and Christopher Walton (Teondrah); five grandchildren Nehemiah Borders, Brody Mutters, Christopher Walton Jr., Ethan Mutters, and Bailey Randall; three siblings Elois Harkness, Darnell Borders, and Gene Borders; mother, Melvine A. Borders and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
