Alice Julia Dove

DOVE, Alice Julia age 84 passed away on Monday, November 18, 2013. She was born in Cincinnati on July 15, 1929 the daughter of Neal and Corinne (Doherty) Swift. On April 28, 1955 she was married to Silas Dove Sr.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Silas Dove; eight siblings, Francis Haley, Patrick Swift, Bill Swift, May Schuman, June Strickley, Ed Swift, James Swift and Charles Swift; Alice is survived by her seven children, S. Gene Dove Jr., May Blanton, Donna Dove, Emily Dove, Mark Dove, Roger and his wife Barbara Dove, and Siann Grouse and her partner Paul Schweppe; seven grandchildren, Scott Dove, Sam Metzger, Allison Grouse, Natalie Dove, Garrett Dove, Adam King and Elizabeth King; her adopted son, Dave and his wife Pam Brabender and their son Benjamin; and one great-grandson, Gavin Dove.

Alice was a member of Cincinnati Central Turners and a member of the American Legion Post 513 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, and traveling. Alice was a favorite granny to children everywhere and loved her cat, Bebe.
