McCray, Allen L. age 54, of Deer Park, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2019. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 23, 1964 to the late George A. and Rose Janice McCray (nee Bruce).
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Dwight R. McCray, Pamela A. McCray-Jackson, and Melissa J. McCray; and his niece, Ericia Webb. Allen is survived by his beloved siblings, Victoria Stevenson, George A. (Valerie) McCray, and Bruce McCray; children, Tyler (Brandy) McCray, Jasmine McCray, Kevin McCray; Godmother, Phyllis Austin; nephew, Casey Jackson; best friend, Ruben (Keasha) Mizell; family friend, Michael Cooper; friend, Tony Boykins, many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and a host of cousins, other family members and friends.
Allen was the youngest in the family. He became a diabetic at the age of 16 and fought a long hard battle with it. He had his share of good days and bad days. Good times were always had with Allen whether he was with Ruben, Michael, Tony, his brothers, or the Austin family, which was his second home.
He was a heck of a dancer and always liked looking his best. He knew his way around the kitchen and was famous for his cookies (peanut butter and sugar ones with the icing in particular). He also enjoyed working on his car while his favorite music was feeding his soul.
Allen loved all sources of old school music because he had an old school soul. He knew all the words to the old school songs, he could tell you what songs came from what albums and then tell you the year they came out.
Due to the complications from his diabetes, it left him semi-mobile and a little off his feet, but he still was the life of the party. Allen always had a way of making others laugh. He was married and divorced, but he stayed good friends with his ex-wife, Denise.
Allen loved the past and could tell you with vivid memory all the small details.
Allen loved his kids dearly. Sometimes love and communication got lost, but love was still there. Allen was known as Uncle Al to all his relatives. Having been known as Uncle Al, he is probably cracking jokes, playing his music, and running and walking unaided all over Heaven. Rest in peace Al.
