Andy Accurso

June 15, 1980 — June 22, 2024

Covington, Kentucky

Andrew (Andy) Robert Accurso, born June 15, 1980, passed away suddenly on June 22, 2024, surrounded by family and friends at the age of 44.

He was a loving husband of Ashley (Raines) Accurso and the devoted father of Theodore (Theo) and Gianna (GiGi) Accurso.

Andrew was the youngest son of Michael and the late Judith Accurso (deceased) and son-in-law of Walter and Annie Raines. He is the beloved brother of Theresa (Scott) Kroeger, Christopher (Melissa) Accurso, Tina (Eric) Young, Nicholas (Jamie) Accurso, and Stephen (Jill) Accurso. Andrew was also a caring brother-in-law to Walter (Shauna) Raines and Alex Raines. He was a fun-loving uncle to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Andrew's kind heart and sense of humor brought joy to everyone around him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Andrew grew up a true Westsider in Price Hill, Cincinnati, attending school at St. William and graduating from Elder High School. Despite his Westside roots, Andrew inconceivably became a loyal Kansas City Chiefs fan, which added much fun and lighthearted teasing among family and friends, especially during these last few Bengals’ seasons. Andrew wholeheartedly loved his hometown and cherished spending time among his large family and many friends. As the youngest of six, he quickly adapted to any situation and became everyone’s favorite little brother and good friend with his humor, big smile, and even bigger laugh. While Andrew made many new friends along the way, he remained close to friends from early childhood and grade school.

Andrew and Ashley met while working at The 21c Hotel. Their love blossomed, and they soon married, creating their adorable family. Andrew was a wonderful husband and father, and his family was his world. They sacrificed material things so he could be a devoted stay-at-home dad for Theo and Gigi, serving as their center of love and support. Andrew was a tissue and organ donor through Life Center Cincinnati. His selfless decision will save many lives, allowing his recipients to celebrate the joy of life he shared with all who knew him.

Andrew's legacy of love and laughter will forever live on in our hearts. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family in the Newcomer guestbook (see below).
