Annie Jean Harton was born to her beloved late parents Annie Phillips and George Wadley on December 1,1949 in Greenville, South Carolina. Many called her Jean. She received her wings to be with the Heavenly Father January 2, 2022.
Jean was a graduate of Robert A. Taft High School. She went on to attend Moler-Hollywood Beauty Academy where she became a licensed Cosmetologist. She was so proud of this accomplishment that she continued to maintain her license into her later years. Jean worked as a Beautician and Seamstress. She never stopped offering beauty and fashion advice to her family and friends.
Jean was a devoted mother to her daughters; Olikia Hill and Sylvia Burl. She was a loving daughter, sister, and a trusted friend.
Jean loved the Lord and she gave her life to Him. Anyone going though a rough time, knew she was always the voice of reason and optimism. She maintained her positive attitude and she challenged you to do the same. She understood God's greatness and she passed it on to all of us by reminding us with these five magic words, "AND THIS TOO SHALL PASS."
She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings Greg Wadley, Rhonda Wadley, and George Wadley Jr.; her grandson Eric Payne and her long time companion William Burl Sr. Jean is survived by her two daughters Sylvia Burl and Olikia Hill; sister Carrie Horace; brothers Percell Wadley and Louis Wadley; grandchildren Antonio Tobin, James Payne and Orlando Payne; two great-grand children Lana Payne and Lando Payne Jr; a host of nieces and nephews along with other relatives and friends.
