Annie Rowland

Annie Marie Rowland, age 84, of Forest Park, OH, passed away on Tuesday, July 18 2023. She was born in Jackson, Tennessee on February 16, 1939 to the late Peter and Annie Northern-Cole.

Annie was a faithful member of Mt. Olivet C.O.G.I.C. and served on various church committees and choir. She was infamous/famous for making her delicious dinner rolls (homemade with love) and banana bread. She was a devoted housewife and had a smile/laugh that could light up a room. Annie was known to take care of children (babysit) within the family, church and neighborhood. She was also known to write beautiful poems for/to different family members, church members, and friends. I think we can all agree that Annie was truly a gift from God, a jewel, and a special lady who will truly be missed.

Besides her parents she was proceeded in death by her late husband Arthur Rowland, brothers Willie (Bill), Otis, Harvey (June), Andrew and sisters Sarah (Ma/Mur), Ella (Rae), and Janie Ruth.

Annie is survived by her daughters Annette Britton and April R. (Kevin) Rowland-Alexander. Grandchildren Ebony Britton, Jasmine A. Britton, Jordan S. Britton, Ryan D. Rowland, and Martina D. McWay. Great Grandchildren, Jamari Hogans, Josiah Mitchell, Kayden Winslow. Brothers, Ozell Northern, Robert Northern, and Benny Northern. Special nieces, Martha Freeney, Candace (Candy) Taylor, Kay Hunter, Sharron Martin and nephew George Howard as well as many other nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be 2:00 pm Monday, July 31, 2023 with a visitation from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - West Side Chapel, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211.
