Obituary
Annie Ruth (Bailey) Alexander was born on July 16, 1928 in Ashland, Alabama to the union of Olin Bailey and Parie Lee (Heath) Bailey. She departed this life and marched into Heaven on January 19, 2012.
Annie Ruth came to Hamilton, OH in 1940 with her family. She would go on to marry, have four children, and be a focal point of her community. In the coming years, Annie Ruth went on to become a devoted member of Israel Baptist Church for over 50 years; where she gave herself relentlessly to the will of the Lord.
Annie Ruth loved and cherished her family and her many friendships. Her message of "Jesus Loves You and so do I" is a reminder of her kind and gentle spirit towards her loved ones. Her laughter, words of wisdom, and presence will be greatly missed.
Annie Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Olin and Parie Lee Bailey; one sister, Peggy Ross; one brother, Olin Bailey Jr.; 2 children, Charles Alexander and Ernest Collier, and 3 grandchildren, Charles Devon Alexander, Ernest Collins, and Damon Collier.
She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory: 2 daughters, Joe Ann Alexander and Alfreda Ross (Leonard), daughter-in-law Toni Collier, special daughter Patricia Willis, 11 grandsons, Jerome Collier, Raameece (Inuka) Collier, James Collins, James Madison, Charles Carter, Eddie Alexander, Johnny Harding, Sean Sherman, Jeremy Alexander, Michael Smiley Jr., and Julius Smiley; one granddaughter, Raffi-neé Alexander; special granddaughter Alisia Hendricks, and 6 nieces and nephews, many, many great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends; and lifelong friend Walter Crimes.
