Anthony Wendell "Tony" Washington was born on November 19, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the eldest son of Herbert and Willa Washington (deceased). Tony was baptized at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Blue Ash, Ohio and later became a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Lincoln Heights, Ohio. Tony graduated in 1966 from Sycamore High School and worked for Fiberglass Evercoat. He also worked for many years at Celotex in Lockland, Ohio and after that plant closed, he worked in the Asbestos Abatement industry until he retired. Tony loved to fish, ride motorcycles, and bake sweet potato pies at Thanksgiving.
He leaves to mourn his passing his devoted wife Mary L. Washington (nee Armstrong); his father, Herbert Washington, Sr; four siblings, Dr. Micheal (Yasue) Washington, Constance R. (Malphus) Brown, Herbert Wayne Washington, Timothy Stewart Washington; three daughters, Tonya Washington, Tracie Washington (Fred) Price, Tommicko Washington. He also leaves nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Also surviving, are Christine and George Giles, Curtis and Janice Battle, and two special friends, John Exon and James Copeland. He was the devoted nephew of Howard Peek, Alfred Battle (deceased), and Elizabeth Peek, (deceased).
In spite of his health problems, Tony never lost his sense of humor. He will be missed by many.
