Anthony Randell Wilson

October 12, 1966 — May 4, 2021

October 12, 1966 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the Lord blessed the union of George Randell and Gertrude (Grimes) Wilson with a baby boy named Tony Randell Wilson. They were so happy to welcome this new addition to the Wilson family. Tony's father, George, preceded him in death.

Tony was baptized in the First Born Church of the Living God of Covington, Kentucky under the leadership of the late Pastor Elder Jack D. Ross. He sung in the Greater Cincinnati Choral Union Youth Choir where he met many friends. Neal and Raymond were two very special friends he met while in the Choir.

Tony grew up in the South Cumminsville area where he attended St. Pius Elementary School and graduated from Hughes High School. He continued his education to become a Maintenance Technician.

Tony moved to Florida where he was able to use his skills working on boats and helping his Uncle Floyd run his business. He was a dedicated Maintenance Technician working on cars, boats and anything that needed fixing around the house or in the neighborhood where he made LOTS of friends. He loved working with his hands and would amaze many with his abilities and skills. His last position was in Pensacola, Florida where he loved working on boats.

He loved being on the water and thoroughly enjoyed spending time on the beach. He would take his children often to the beach. He was passionate about baseball and was a dedicated Cincinnati Reds fan.

Tony was a kind and generous person always giving of himself to help his family and friends. Being the only boy and the baby, he loved all the attention he got from his three sisters thinking he was their protector.

Tony loved being in the company of his four uncles: Eugene, David, Floyd, and Jerry, where he gleaned a wealth of knowledge. His Uncle Eugene imparted great wisdom in his life. Uncle Jerry was the fun loving guy in his life; Uncle David shared his knowledge with him; and Uncle Floyd taught him to respect himself and others. He also learned from each of them the importance of family and community.

Tony was a great father; he loved his children so much always making sure they had the latest technology so they would be equipped and knowledgeable in this ever changing world.

He loved taking his children to the beach, Disney World, and traveling. His life will be forever cherished by his children.
His untimely death has caused his time to seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him in numerous ways know and understand that the quality of his existence far exceeds the quantity of time he lived on earth.

Our dear Tony leaves to cherish his memory: his loving mother, Gertrude Wilson; eight children, Brandon (Latisha), Elizabeth, Demarco, Tonicee, Tionni, Santania, Tonnio, and Talaina; three sisters, Robin LaBordeaux, Mary Wilson, and Joy Cruickson; four uncles, Eugene (Agnes) Grimes, David (Barbara) Grimes, Floyd (Daisy) Grimes, and Jerry Grimes; two Special Cousins, Chris Wilson (aka Chicken Man and his B.F.F.L.) and Marcus Grimes who was like a brother, and a host of relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held Saturday May 29, 2021 from 10am-11am, with a service to follow at Newcomer Funeral Home at 3300 Parkcrest Lane Cincinnati, OH. Interment will take place immediately after at Spring Grove Cemetery.
