Asta, August Dean age 53, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021. He was born in Englewood, New Jersey on June 16, 1967 to the late Augustine and Virginia Asta (nee Cicirelli).
August is survived by his beloved wife of 24 years, Kimberly Asta (nee Cansler); children, Richard Asta, Justin Asta, Abby (Timothy) Watson, Lisa Asta; bonus-daughter, Elizabeth McVay; grandchildren Haley Boggs, Serenitey Asta, K'La Watson, Jacen Watson, Alexa Broyles; siblings, Giacomo (Julie) Asta, Philip (Deborah) Asta, Bill (Grace) Wright, and Kathie (John) Monico; and a host of other family members and friends.
August was most proud of being a loving husband, father, grandfather, and his undeniable faith. At the prompting of one of his daughters, August became an ordained minister so he could perform her marriage ceremony, as well as the ceremony of close family friends.
August was an outgoing person who made friends wherever he went. His compassion was for serving the homeless by helping prepare meals for Operation Compassion Ministry through Living Waters Church in Plain City, Ohio, where he was a member until moving to the Cincinnati area.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
