Barbara "Barb" Boehmer

Barbara (Barb) Boehmer , 86 of Edgewood, Ky. passed away on Tuesday February 18,2025. She was born in Covington, Ky. on August 8,1938 to the late Bernard and Lillian (Gamm) Boehmer.

 She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Betty Danowski, Bernard (Bud) Boehmer, Ruth Heeken, William (Bill) Boehmer and Fred Boehmer. Barb is survived by her dear friend, Patricia (Pat) Schnittker and many cousins, nieces and nephews. 

Barb graduated from LaSalette Academy, Covington, KY and entered the Sisters of Divine Providence, Melbourne, KY until 1974. She also worked for Fifth Third Bank, where she met her partner in crime and long time companion, Pat Schnittker. She was a teacher at Park Hills, River Ridge, and Turkeyfoot Middle School, where her students knew her as Miss "B". She loved the outdoors, sitting on the front porch and gardening. She was an active member of AA, celebrating 28 years of sobriety. 

Barb will be reunited with her faithful four !egged furry friends, Mindy, Kelly, Heidi and Rocky, wagging their tales, happy to see her again. Barb was known and loved by many and will be greatly missed. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at St. Pius X Church, 348 Dudley Pike, Edgewood, KY 41017. 

Visitation 3:00-3:30 pm, followed by mass at 3:30 pm reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Barb's name may be directed to AA District 6, Treasurer, P.O. Box 18731, Erlanger, KY 41018, The SPCA or Kenton County Animal Shelter, 1020 Mary Laidly Dr, Covington Ky. 41017 or charity of choice.
