Belle Jean Canterbury

Belle Jean Canterbury, age 84, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024. She was born in Oneida, Kentucky on July 16, 1939 to Alfred and Doshia Allen. Belle was an avid sewer and quilter. She enjoyed gardening and growing her own vegetables, scratch off lottery tickets, reading, and doing word puzzles. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred T. Canterbury, father, Alfred Allen, mother, Doshia Allen, brother, Neil (Hazel) Allen, brother, William Allen, brother, Alfred Allen, sister, Rosie Sams, sister, Mary McQueen, and sister, Elizabeth Helton. Belle is survived by her, Son, Jesse (Julie) Canterbury, brother, Ambrose (Betty) Allen, brother, Carl (Sue) Allen, brother, Hugh (Sue) Allen, grandchildren, Rachel (Andrew) Wilp, Tim (Annie) Canterbury, great-grandchildren, Isla Wilp, Ruby Wilp, Quinn Wilp, Arthur Canterbury, and Oliver Canterbury; and a host of other family members and friends.

In loving memory of Belle, contributions may be made to Dragon Fly Foundation - 506 Oak Street, Cincinnati, OH 45219. Funeral Ceremony will be 1:00 pm Friday, May 31, 2024 with a visitation from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northern Kentucky Chapel, 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018. Burial will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 3227 Dixie Hwy, Erlanger, KY 41018.
