Davis, Berdell "Baba" age 70, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2019. She was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on October 15, 1948 to the late Roosevelt and Estelle Glanton.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Roosevelt Glanton, II and Fannie Campbell (aka Polly). Baba is survived by her beloved children, Kevin Glanton, Kimberly E. McFee, Tylissa T. Turner, Alease K. Turner, and Ervon Mitchell; grandbabies, Isaiah, Alysah, and soon to be Tremel Jr.; one sister, Dorothy Peters (aka Dot); one close friend she loved like a brother, Samuel McFee (aka Sam); two furbabies, Carlos and Scrappy; and a host of other family members and Baba kids.
Baba graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Chattanooga, Tennessee and went on to work as a Nurses Assistant at Evanston Hospital in Evanston, Il. She was passionate about taking pictures, drawing, and her inspirational music. Baba had a calling for taking care of others and was devoted to her churches, Good News Community Church was her first church home in Chicago and Second Corinthian Baptist Church became her church home in Cincinnati. So many people loved Baba and all her unconditional love will truly be missed.
In loving memory of Baba, contributions may be made to SPCA because of her love of dogs.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Second Corinthian Baptist Church, 934 Marion Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45229 followed by Celebration of Life will be 11:00 am. Repast immediately following the service.
