TUBBS, Bernice Evelyn age 85, of Springfield Township, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2015. She was born in Alligator, Mississippi on April 4, 1930 to Walter and Clara Tubbs (nee Thompson).
She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Tubbs; mother, Clara Tubbs; brothers, Donald "Donell" Tubbs, Roger A. Tubbs, and Edward N. Tubbs. Bernice is survived by her beloved and faithful children, Simmie E. Lett, Brenda J. (Kenneth) Ford-Burgs, Freeman D. (Florence) Jordan, and Cedric S. (Esther) Ford; grandchildren, Sanford F. Tubbs, T. Lamont (Mischell) Ford, Sherri K. Lett, Stephen S. (Stephanie) Lett, Cedric S. (Chanika) Ford, Jr., Danielle N. Jordan, Kenyatta N. Burgs, Freeman Darnell Jordan, Jr., Chonda (Martin) Williams, Mark Jones, Lekisha Jones, Tramikia Pitt, Stephanie Spurling, and Melissa Spurling; great-grandchildren, Tamela (Antwan) Kendall, Sanford Tubbs, IV, Jalen Ford, Sebastian Tubbs, Traci Ford, Adrian Wadley-Tubbs, Tremayne Hale, Markayla Jones, Savon Tubbs, Sky Thomas, Bashir Thomas, TeYion Roberson, D'Nyla Jordan, Mark Jones-Anderson, Maleah Jones-Anderson, Sydney Lett, Solomon Lett, Zorri Bell, Juliana Bell, Keilani Isome, Khyrell Isome, Recoe Walker, Kimani White, Mariah Johnson, and Jeremiah Williams; great-great-grandchildren, Biore Harris, Antwan Harris, II, Rayshawn Walker; she also leaves two sister-in-laws, Leola Tubbs, and Rose Hairston-Tubbs; nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members and friends.
Funeral Ceremony will be at 11:00 am Friday, July 17, 2015 with a visitation from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home - Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.
