Robinson, Bernice Estella age 83, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2018. She was born in Gadsden, Alabama on February 27, 1935 to Sam and Luster Turner (Summerville).

She was preceded in death by her father, Sam Turner; mother, Luster; beloved husband, Hezekiah Robinson; a brother and sister; and brother-in-laws, Theodore Robinson and Alvin Edwards. Bernice is survived by her children, Vanessa Meredith, Glen Robinson, Veronica (Reginald) Mosley, Todd Robinson, Monte Robinson, Felicia Robinson, and Gene (Julia) Robinson; siblings, Betty Jean Robinson and Eleanor Edwards; daughter-in-law, Tammy Robinson; grandchildren, Shaconda (Darrell) Wilson, Lorenzo Robinson, Orlando (Tamiko) Robinson, Shalona (Richard) Scurry, Bobbie (Christina) Meredith, Jr., Skye Meredith, Glen Robinson, Jr., Andrian Robinson, Corey Robinson, Aja Robinson, Taprica Mosley, Reginald Mosley, Jr., Sean T Robinson, Tyrone (Dwann) Davenport, Jr., Tyrell Davenport, Brenten Davenport, Javin Robinson and Jyrese Robinson; 35 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; good friend, Bonnie Payne; and a host of other family members and friends.

Bernice attended Carver High School in Gadsden, Alabama. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Alabama City where Reverend Gary was the pastor. Bernice settled in Cincinnati, Ohio where she met her husband, Hezekiah Robinson, had seven children and became a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. She wasn't a stranger to hard work. She worked at Christ Hospital as a Nurse's Assistant for several years, then at Queen City Wreaths where she made ribbons. Bernice also worked at Season Nursing Home as a custodian and caregiver. Bernice loved to do crossword puzzles, sew, cook, help others, and was always giving someone advice. She loved family gatherings and after retiring, enjoyed watching her soap opera, General Hospital. Saturdays were devoted to watching cowboy movies. Let's not forget the Camel Walk, her signature dance.

Bernice found joy in talking to her sister every morning at 10 minutes to 8 o'clock. She looked forward to getting that Sunday morning call from her niece in Alabama. Bernice loved when Christmas came around because she couldn't wait to get that special fruit cake from her nephew, who would bring it to her every year.

Our mother was a loving person, but she was always outspoken. She would tell you exactly what she was thinking and then tell you where to go. Our mother was a strong woman, no matter what came her way. If you see flowers blooming in February, that's our Mom telling the Lord, "I'm here now, it's time to make a change." If you knew our Mom, you would know, there are not enough words to say. You would have to write a novel.

"To you Mom, for once in life, I have nothing to say but the tracks of my tears. I love you Mom. " - Glen Robinson

"Mom because of you, I am who I am because of who you are. Thank you for showing me the way. I love you." - Veronica Mosley
