Bertha Waters

Waters (nee Wagers), Bertha Alice, age 83, of Cincinnati, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 14, 2016. She was born in Creekville, Kentucky on January 23, 1933 to Carlo Sr. and Lucy Mae Wagers (nee Smith). On January 14th, 1955 in Rossville, Georgia she married Larrie Waters.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Larrie Waters; mother, Lucy Mae Wagers, father, Carlo Wagers Sr., four brothers, Carlo Wagers, Jr., Curtis Ray Wagers, Ed Wagers and Oscar Wagers; two sisters, Edith Asher, and Mary Salyers. Bertha is survived by her devoted children, Donna Jean (Thomas) Gillespie, Douglas Larry (Melissa J.) Waters, and Timothy Wayne (Jillian H.) Waters; two brothers, Orville (Virginia) Wagers and Donnie (Winna) Wagers; four sisters, Hazel Simonson, Betty (Jerry) Stephens, Elsie Jean Wagers and Cledith (Taylor) Haggard; her grandson, Adam Douglas Waters; four granddaughters, Jennifer Nicole (Sean) Johnson, Bethany Mae Gillespie, Emilee Hope Gillespie and Victoria Grace Gillespie; a great-granddaughter, Alice Nicole Johnson; a great-grandson, Levi Adam Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

In loving memory of Bertha, contributions may be made to Bridgetown Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm Tuesday, April 19th, 2016 and 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 20th, 2016 at the Bridgetown Baptist Church, 5771 Bridgetown Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45248. Funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, April 20th, 2016 at the church.
