Betty J. Deegan, age 90, of Florence, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020. She was born in Newport, Kentucky on March 13, 1930 to Irwin and Winona Furnish (nee Jackson). Betty Loved dancing and watched American Bandstand every Saturday morning with her children, teaching them to dance. She loved music especially Ray Charles, Elvis, and Frank Sinatra. Was an excellent cook and loved to bake for her children as they were growing up. She enjoyed taking walks and loved to play board games, and cards. She would always teach her children to play with her. Betty had a love for the beach and always look forward to vacations to Florida, often even traveling alone to soak up the sun and spend time in Clearwater, St. Petersburg. Betty often indulged in chocolate, LaRosas, and Skyline. She will be remembered most by her spunky personality.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Deegan, her parents, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Betty is survived by her children, Karen (Steve) Adams, Diana Deegan, Tom Deegan; grandchildren, Nicholas Stewart, Cassandra Koenig, Krystal (T.J.) Maurer, Alex Adams; 7 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.
In loving memory of Betty, contributions may be made to any hospice facility.
Services will be held for Betty at a later date.
