Betty Jean Patterson

PATTERSON, Betty Jean, age 80, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2014. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 20, 1934 to Susie Mae Robinson (nee Betts).

Betty Jean, "Pat", was family to many, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She participated in and held office in many clubs and auxiliaries. She was a member of the following:
National Association of Colored Women's Club
Southwest District of the Ohio Association of Colored Women's Club
City of Cincinnati Federated Women's Club
Tawasi Federated Women's Club
Gospel Messengers
6 Choir Union
The Ever Ready Singers
Hamilton County Church Aid Convention
Interdenominational Minister Wives and Minister Widows
A community Gospel Singer
And, just plain "Granny"

She was preceded in death by her mother, Susie Mae Robinson; husband, Homer P. Patterson. Betty is survived by her beloved daughter, Beverly Jean (Josef) Kahr; grandchildren, Dawn Herring, Marciel Lamont (Marydee) Herring, Kevin Herring and Kahliya L. McKinney; 19 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren and a host of close friends to whom she was known for her singing and as a dedicated club lady.
