Betty Jean Simmons was born on May 5, 1933 in Cincinnati, Ohio. The daughter of John and Patricia Andrews. She gave her life to Christ at an early age. She met and married John Henry Simmons in 1968. Throughout their married life, John Henry always referred to her as "his lovely wife, Betty Jean." Betty Jean lived a life serving others and it was always with a smile.
She was a Social Worker at the Center for Addiction Treatment for nearly 20 years and before that the Owner of Betty's Fashions located at 1905 Freeman Avenue.
She leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband and soul mate, John Henry "Be Kind" Simmons; children, Nancy Harris, Kimberly Williams (deceased), Tony Williams (deceased); step-son, John Moye; step-daughter, Melanie Allen; 3 grandchildren, Ronald Williams, Nellie Williams, Brandy Allen; and 10 great-grandchildren, Anthony Williams, Demetrius Cochren, Johnathan Williams, Nellie Royal, Trinity Royal, Antremus Royal, Olivia Williams, J R Williams, R J Williams, Cari Williams; nieces and nephews, Courtney (Sonya), Vickie (Dwight), Vanessa (Bernard), Valeria (Ron), Veronica, Lance, Patricia, Terry; great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of friends, including The Community Church of Cincinnati.

Funeral Ceremony will be 12:00 pm Wednesday, September 4, 2019 with a visitation from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.
