Thompson, Billie Joe age 79, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2018. He was born in Dyersburg, Tennessee on October 20, 1938 to Harry and Aillie Thompson (nee Horton).
He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Thompson; mother, Aillie Thompson; sisters, Mary Sue Taylor and Evelyn Williams; and grandson, Marcus Ford. Billie is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Lorraine Margaret Thompson (nee Woltering); children, Terry (Pauline) Thompson, Robert Thompson, Sandra (Mark) Ford, Patrick (Karla) Thompson, Mitzi Thompson, and Rebecca Thompson; grandchildren, Amanda Stryker, Shawn Ford, and Anna Ford; and a host of other family members and friends.
Billie served in the Air Force and was stationed in Korea during the late 1950's. He worked for Roadway Express for over 30 years as a truck driver and accrued over 45 million safe miles. Billie enjoyed collecting coins, fishing, watching pro wrestling, browsing through the internet, and good conversation.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the honor of Billie to the American Lung Association. Graveside Service will be 10:00 am Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Bridgetown Cemetery, 4337 Harrison Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45211.
