Blanton Broderick Holley passed away in his home in Manhattan, New York on July 10, 2012. He was 48 years old.
At the age of 18, he was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. A 1982 graduate of the School for Creative and Performing Arts, Blanton developed many acquaintances and friends as an aspiring actor and artist. Over the years he resided in Illinois, Florida, California, and New York.
He was preceded in death by his father Jesse Arnold Holley, his Step-Father James R. Shavers II. He is survived by his mother Joyce Yvette Shavers, his siblings Ms. Felicia Holley-Loveless, Mrs. Velda Coley (Stanley), Mr. Roman Holley (Susanne) of Cincinnati; Mrs. Robin Y. Kenerly (Shawn)of Dayton, Ohio; step-brother Mr. James R. Shavers III(Tanjua), step-sister Mrs. Constance R. Brown (Paul) of Cincinnati, nephews Thomas Loveless III (Tamika), Evan A. Loveless (Miso Kim), Benjamin I. Coley, Julian A. Coley, nieces Christan R. Holley and Raven M. Hammons, his aunts Mrs. Shirley M. Hayes (William) Ms. Gwendolyn Johnson and Ms. Luella Holley-Williams and a host of cousins, other family members, relatives and close friends.

Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, August 4, 2012 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the School for Creative and Performing Arts, Mayerson Theatre, 108 W Central Parkway, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202. The memorial service begins at 11:00 am. The reception will be held immediately after the services at the same location.
