Merritt, Bobby Lee age 89, of Covington, Kentucky passed away on Friday, October 21, 2022. He was born in Lynch, Kentucky on October 13, 1933 to the late Frank and Beulah Merritt (nee Northcutt).
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Donna Merritt and brothers, Carl Franklin Merritt, Jr., Jack Merritt and William Merritt. Bobby is survived by his beloved children, Scott (Erin Johnson) Merritt, Daryl (Chad) Deener, Dana Merritt, Mary Merritt-Hub, Ramona (Mike) Brenner, Alice Jane "Janie" (Bob) Makowski and Linda (Dale) Noel; 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Charles Merritt; sister, Alice Keller; former spouse and friend, Pam Merritt; and a host of other family members and friends.
Bobby was a physical education, health and social studies teacher. He also coached football, basketball, baseball and track at numerous schools in Virginia, Tennessee, Ohio and Kentucky. He was an avid UK, UC, Louisville, Bengals and Reds fan.
In loving memory of Bobby, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
