Carol A. Amend

Carol A. "Oui" Amend, age 80, of Cincinnati, Ohio, peacefully passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025. Born on April 25, 1944, in Cincinnati, she was the cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Alinda Hefele (nee Zwick).

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her Great Granddaughter, Mary Hammonds and a sister, Elaine (Jim) Franke, along with many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Carol was a devoted wife to her husband of 59 years, William C. Amend, and is lovingly remembered by her children: Keith (Darlene) Amend, Kevin (Debbie) Amend, Krissie (Dave) Meyer, and Kim (Donne) Abner. Her family continued to grow, as she took great joy in her grandchildren: Josh (Allison) Abner, Tyler (Heather) Abner, Devin (Hayley) Abner, Ashley (Anthony) Hammonds, Austin Amend, Joey (Madi) Amend, Jacob Amend, Jeremy Amend, Colleen Meyer, and Sara Meyer. Carol also held a special place in her heart for her great-grandchildren: Keiley Amend, Tony Hammonds, Sabbath Abner, Ghost Abner, Casey Abner, along with many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Throughout her life, Carol enjoyed reading, gardening, and shopping. Yet, her greatest passion was spending quality time with her loved ones.

A visitation will be held on Friday April 4, 2025 at 9:00am at St. Dominic's Parish 4551 Delhi Rd. Cincinnati, Ohio 45238 allowing friends and family to gather in remembrance of Carol’s life,  with a Mass of Christian Burial being held at 10:00am following visitation.
