Carol St Andre

Carol St Andre, age 86, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. She was born in Teaneck, New Jersey on November 28, 1936 to Joseph and Rose St Andre (nee Petillo).

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Carol is survived by her beloved sister, Elizabeth "Betsy" Kean, and her brother-in-law, Marion O'Leary, residents of San Jose, CA. Other survivors include her nephew, Michael Kean (Julie) of Middleton, WI, and her niece, Mary Kean (Sean Reilley) of San Jose, CA, and cousins in Ridgewood, NJ and Milan Italy.

Carol was a Reference Librarian, having enjoyed 32 years of service with the Cincinnati and Hamilton County Public Library. She is a 1954 graduate of St Luke High School in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey. She graduated in 1958 from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio with a Bachelor of Education degree, then again in 1966 from the University of Kentucky with a Master of Library Science degree.

For the past 17 years Carol resided at Evergreen Retirement Community. She enjoyed the friendship of many residents there and participated in numerous activities as long as her health permitted. Her family wishes to thank the residents and staff at Evergreen for their support of Carol. Thanks also to Queen City Hospice for their care of her during her final illness.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 19, at 3:00 PM in the Mansion at Evergreen Retirement Community, 230 W. Galbraith Road, Cincinnati, OH 45215. Carol's friends are welcome to attend and to share remembrances of her life.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ann Church, 2900 W. Galbraith Rd, Cincinnati on Thursday, April 20. At this time, the funeral mass time is pending.
