Carol Zammit, (nee Kraus), of Cincinnati, OH formerly of Cleveland, OH, and Louisville, KY passed away due to complications from the flu on Saturday March 17, 2018.
Born in Buffalo, NY on February 26, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Alma (Hoffman) Kraus.
She was preceded in death by her Husband Joseph Zammit; Brothers: William, Richard, Albert and Donald Kraus; and Sister: Elaine, Considine, Jean Morgan, Ruth Buettner, Mary Lou Kowalezyk, and Margaret Cunningham.
Carol retired from Brownsboro Pediatrics in Louisville, KY with over 20 years of service. After retirement, her life mission became serving those in need at St. John Center and the Cathedral of the Assumption Daily Lunch Program. Carol also enjoyed bingo, and spoiling her children and grandchildren.
She leaves to cherish her memory two Daughters: Karen Van Wagenen and Lynda Zammit of Cincinnati; two Grandchildren: Adrien Van Wagenen and Justin Van Wagenen; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will from 4-8 pm in the chapel of Chesterwood Village, 8073 Tylersville Road, West Chester, OH (additional parking at Church next door).
A Mass to celebrate Carol's life will be held in Louisville, KY at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Cathedral of the Assumption, 433 S. Fifth St. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzhermer's Association.
