Carolyn Rose Burns (Riegelsberger), 77, of Cincinnati, went to be with the Lord on February 24, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 47 years, William Burns, her beloved children, Frank (Pam) Cowan, Sherry (late Orville) Moore, Pam (Robert) Todd, and Robert Cowan, her sister in-law Mary Riegelsberger and loving nieces and nephews.
Carolyn loved to play BINGO, go shopping, collecting beach items, and being a mother and a grandmother. She has 13 grandchildren; Herbert, Jason, Tammy, Terri, Ted, Toni, Robert, Jamie, Nathan, Alicia, Kasie, Robert, and Kari, and 26 great-grandchildren. She was the Supervisor of Environmental Services at Mercy Hospital for many years.
Carolyn was loved by her family due to her kind heart, intelligence, sense of humor, love for the Lord, and her way of protecting the family. She had a smile that could light up the room and her light shined so bright.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Mildred (Klein) Riegelsberger, her siblings, John Riegelsberger, Anna Riegelsberger, and Mildred (Edward) Painter, and her loving grandson Joshua Merz.
Visitation will be Friday, March 3, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home, West Side Chapel, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati (45211) from 6 PM until 8 PM. Funeral Mass is Saturday, March 4, 2023, 10:30 AM, at St Vincent de Paul Church. Burial to follow in New St. Joseph Cemetery.
