Carolyn Garrison

Carolyn Garrison, a beloved seamstress and devoted family member, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2024 in Erlanger, Kentucky, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on January 18, 1941, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she touched the lives of many throughout her 83 years.

Carolyn spent 18 wonderful years as a seamstress at Dillard's, where her talent for sewing flourished. Her creative spirit and skilled hands produced countless cherished garments and crafts, each piece bearing her unique touch. Beyond her career, Carolyn found joy in the simplicity of life. She adored camping and spent countless hours immersed in the beauty of nature, with a particular fondness for sunflowers and the enchanting sight of hummingbirds at her feeder. She also enjoyed crocheting and made numerous hats over the years. Carolyn’s heart was especially warm toward her feline friend, Oscar, a constant source of companionship and joy.

Her strongest devotion was always to her family. Carolyn is survived by her beloved husband, James Garrison, and their daughters: Teresa Garrison, Brenda (Daryl) Sears, Carol (Peter) Bollinger, and Tracy (James) McNabb. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Tiffini, Taylor, McKenna, and Abigail, and great-grandchildren Zane, Grayson, and Owen. Carolyn's love will forever resonate in their hearts and memories.

She also leaves behind her sisters JoAnn (William) Flickinger, Evelyn Fadder, and Linda Ehling; as well as her brothers Peter (Betty) Ehling and Carlos (the late Linda) Ehling. They, along with a host of other family members and friends, are left to carry forward her spirit of kindness and love.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Evelyn Ehling (nee McGuire), and her father, Joseph Ehling. Their memory, too, will live on through the love and stories shared by those who held her dear.

In remembrance of Carolyn, family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on December 18, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in Erlanger, Kentucky, followed by a service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park at 12:15 PM.

Carolyn Garrison will be deeply missed, but her essence will endure in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and cherished memories that will be treasured forever.
