Carolyn Jean Robertson was born January 16, 1947 to the late Mary K. Mack and Leo C. Terry. Carol, as her family called her, departed this life on Sunday, February 17, 2013, after a lengthy illness. She attended Cincinnati Public Schools and graduated from Robert A. Taft in 1965. She loved family gatherings and could "throw down" when it came to cooking macaroni and cheese, pig feet, and pinto beans was her specialty. She was a mother to the community. Carol loved to attend church. It became the joy of her life until her health began to fail. She couldn't wait to see "Miss Davis" as she called her pastor. Her hobbies were shopping, crocheting, gardening, and working crossword puzzles.
She worked as a ward clerk at Jewish Hospital 1969-1974, Kroger Co. as plant manager 1974-1986, CIMPAC as plant manager 1987-1992, and Golden Age Nursing Home 1992-2005 as a ward clerk.
Carol received Christ, and was baptized at New True Vine Church in 1976. She attended Solid Rock (South) Church 2007-2010. She served on the usher board under the leadership of Lawrence and Darlene Bishop. Carol was faithful to Kingdom Living Ministries 2010 until her death, under the leadership of Apostle Gail Davis.
Carol married the late John L. Robertson in 1966, who was the love of her life, and a very devoted father to his girls. Carol leaves to cherish three daughters, Shunda L. Jones (Gregory Sr.), Monica L. Robertson, and Natasha L. Robertson; two sisters, Pastor Queen Esther D. Mack, Stephanie Y. Soles; six grandchildren, Shameka Robertson, Quantez Robertson, Tiara Robertson, Tameka Jones, RayShawn Robertson, Gregory Jones Jr.; 1 great-granddaughter, Mierre Robertson; 1 niece, Quisha D. Mack-Davis; a host of nephews, cousins, and friends, a special friend, Roger Harris, and Honestee Bess, a God given granddaughter.
