Carolyn A Simmons

Carolyn Shinholster Simmons was born on March 13, 1949 in Twiggs County, Georgia to the late Jonn and Birdie Mae Shinholster. She transitioned at Mercy Fairfield Hospital on Friday, August 13, 2021.

Carolyn attended the Twigg County School system. On April 3, 1981, she united in Holy Matrimony to Artie Simmons. Carolyn was a member of Lincoln Heights Baptist Church in Cincinnati, Ohio where she attended with her husband.

Carolyn was the proud mother of Cornell Shinholster and Artresa Simmons, both whom she was so proud of the wonderful people they became. A wonderful mother who enjoyed making memories with the ones who loved her most. Carolyn had an amazing love for the game of football that she share with her husband Artie.

Her memories will always be cherished by her surviving lovely, devoted husband of 40 years, Artie Simmons; son, Cornell Shinholster; daughter, Artresa Simmons. She leaves behind beloved brothers and sister, Harold Shinholster, Larry Shinholster, Donnell Shinholster, Alberta Rouse, Peggie J. Butts, Bobbie Ballard; and beloved grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The Memorial Service will begin at 12:00 pm on Thursday, August 26, 2021 with a visitation from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.
