Charles E. Thomas

Charles E. Thomas, age 82 of Cincinnati passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at the Home of Hearthstone. He was born in Cincinnati on February 20, 1930 the son of John Henry Thomas and Lula (Byrd) Hamilton. Charles was employed as a truck driver for Roadway Trucking Company, which was his favorite thing to do. He was married to Betty Smith, and she preceded him in death.

He is survived by his two sisters, Patricia Thomas and Mary Dale both of Cincinnati; his brother, Anthony Byrd of Cincinnati; his step-son, Darrell Smith and his wife Monica of Cincinnati; his best friend, Mr. Bob of Cincinnati; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Betty.

Funeral service will be held at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231 on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 2:00 PM with Chaplain Tony Harris officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
