Charles Joseph Kappes

Charles Joseph Kappes, age 85, of Florence, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023. He was born in Dayton, Kentucky on December 18, 1937 to Thomas and Elizabeth (nee: Knight) Kappes. Charlie was a proud Army veteran. After serving in the military he went on to become an X-ray repair technician. When Charlie wasn't working hard he enjoyed boating, model trains, and assembling puzzles.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Chris Kappes, brothers; Thomas Kappes, William Kappes, Paul Kappes, and Robert Kappes. Charles is survived by his sons, Steve (Tracy) Kappes, and Chuck Kappes; grandchildren, Shana, Jessica, Mercedes, Christopher, Steven, and Kristina; many great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.
In loving memory of Charles, contributions can be made to the Cincinnati Museum Center.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 4350 Dixie Hwy Erlanger, KY 41018. Graveside Service will be at 1:30 pm at St. Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas, KY.
