Charles Edward Lewis, Jr; affectionately known as Lil Charles was born April 23, 1995 at 6:35 am to Charles and Felicia Hill-Lewis at Bethesda Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. Lil Charles was a lively child that had an infectious smile and loved to dance. Lil Charles was baptized at a young age at Miracle Faith Center. He couldn't sit still while making every effort to make everyone in the class laugh, from elementary to high school. Lil Charles went on to become a proud graduate from Robert A. Taft where he played both football and baseball and to become known as Waterbug! Til this day he reps the yellow and green!
Later he would aspire to be a "rapper" with rap names such as Benji, Benji Da Menace, Bandz, and the most recent to become known to many as Lu Bundy while recording over 100+ songs titled California Love, When It Rains, Doing Doing, Biscotti, Iced tea, Back End, Backshots, Ray Charles, along with many features.
Lil Charles was tragically taken from family and friends on August 1, 2020 at 7:25 pm. He is survived by his mother Felicia Hill-Lewis; his father Charles E Lewis, Sr.; his two brothers, Antwan Hill and Donell Hill; his sister, LaChyra Lewis; his uncle Anthony Hill; his two aunts, Anita Lewis and Chala Lewis-Jones (Remondo); his grandmother, Denise Savage; his daughter, Nae'omi Greshem; his companion, Leslie Early; his five nieces and nephews; and countless cousins. Lil Charles was one to look out for family and has never said the word "no" to anyone. Lil Charles will definitely be missed and celebrated.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 14, 2020 from 11 am until the time of service at 1 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - West Side Chapel, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211. Burial will follow at Vine Street Hill Cemetery.
