Charles D. "Hank" Zehnder, Sr., age 63, of Hebron, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021. He was born in Covington, Kentucky on September 26, 1957 to Clarence Anthony and Ressie Virginia Zehnder (nee Sebree). Charles retired from Baker Construction after working there for over 30 years. He was a dedicated grandfather who never missed a peewee football game, where he was often found on the sidelines working the chains. He loved horse racing and trained many thoroughbreds including his most recent horse, Strong Yen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, beloved Wife, Debbie Zehnder, and sisters, Mary Lea Scott, and Kathie Forshee.
Charles is survived by his children, Christina (Richie) Estvanko, Courtney M. Zehnder, Charles D. Zehnder, Jr.; grandchildren, Coby Anthony Estvanko, Griffin Douglas Hansman, Parker Daniel Hansman, Ethan Joseph Estvanko, Kamden Kyle Zehnder, Zaylee Rose Estvanko; siblings, Pete Zehnder, Lou (Rena) Zehnder, Sr., Jennie (Doug) Macke, Doris (Tony) Spencer, James Zehnder; life long friend and brother, James Mallery; and a host of other family members and friends.
Services will be combined to honor both Charles and his late wife, Debbie, who passed away May 20, 2020.
A visitation will be on Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northern Kentucky Chapel, 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018. A Memorial Service will follow at 6:00 pm
