Charlotte June Sidler of Mason, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, April 11th, 2024. She was preceded in death by her mother, Goldie Hand and extended family, Charles and Velda Matthews, and Sue Matthews (King). She leaves behind the families of Sue, Dana Matthews (Butler), Mark (Becky) Matthews, and many loved ones throughout her 97 years of life.
Charlotte was born in St. Joseph County, Indiana on August 25th, 1926 and grew up in Farmer, Ohio. She graduated college from Cincinnati Bible Seminary before relocating to Lansing Michigan where she worked at Great Lakes Christian College. After settling back in Cincinnati, Ohio, Charlotte attended Bridgetown Church of Christ and enjoyed her work in the church library. Her love of God’s word led her to a long career with Standard Publishing where she was most known for her curriculum writing of children’s Sunday school and Vacation Bible School materials. Her favorite past times included socializing with friends, puzzles, Cincinnati Reds baseball, and shopping with Velda. Charlotte will be most remembered for her quick wit, spunky personality, and impressive key chain collection. Those who loved her enjoyed hearing stories of her collection as much as she loved sharing them.
Charlotte will be laid to rest in the mausoleum at Arlington Memorial Gardens in Cincinnati, Ohio during a private family service.
