Chester S. Davis Sr.

Chester S. Davis, Sr. age 82, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025. He was born in Duff, Tennessee on March 18, 1942 to the late Robert Lee and Alta Davis (nee Anderson). He was raised in Jellico Tennessee and spent much of his life in Cincinnati Ohio. 

He was preceded in death by his, Son, Chester S. Davis, Jr., Brother, Van Howard Davis, Brother, Arnold Davis, Sister, Christine O'Rourke, Sister, Irene Smith, Brother, Robert Lee Davis, Jr.

Chester is survived by his wife, Emma Jean Davis (nee Barnes); Son, Simon J. Davis, Son, Dwayne M. (Angie) Davis, Daughter, Shonda M. (Mike) Rosel, Grandchildren, Dallas Davis, Halie Melson, Logan Davis, Mahalie (Nick) Poulos, Mallarie Rosel, Bailey Davis, Matthew (Shelby) Davis, Olivia (Austin) Fryman, Saegen Rosel, Gannon Rosel, Madelyn Davis, Graycen Rosel, Numerous Great Grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.

Chester loved spending time with his family. He felt there was nothing that was more important to him than his family. He certainly was a very proud, father and Pappaw. He was a man of immense humor, kindness, and wisdom. He enjoyed various genres of music and was a talented organ, piano, and accordion player. He was skilled in many other trades pertaining to building structures and property maintenance. He was devoted to passing his skills down to anyone interested in learning a hands on skill. He was a retired welder and enjoyed working in his garden and working on cars. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force.

Funeral Ceremony will be 12:00 pm Monday, January 20, 2025 with a visitation from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm with Bro. Darrell Preston officiating at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - West Side Chapel, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211.
