Chino O'Hara

August 25, 1958 — March 10, 2019

Chino O'Hara - Nickname Bobby was born on August 25, 1958 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the union of Jimmy Lee O'Hara and the late Roslyn O'Hara. Chino was affectionately known as Bobby, nicknamed by his cousin, Charles Sands. Chino departed this life in his resident in Montclair, California.

At the age of 15, Chino joined Bethlehem Temple Apostolic Church in downtown Cincinnati where he was baptized and received the gift of the Holy Ghost under Bishop Young.

Chino grew up in the West End and attended Cincinnati Public Schools, graduating from Taft High School in 1976. After high school, Chino was awarded a scholarship to Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. After attending Miami University for a few years, Chino and Scott, his brother, moved to Denver, Colorado in 1980 joining our cousin, Donald Box (Duckie). Shortly thereafter, his younger two brothers, Hubert (Pep) and Rossman, also relocated to Denver. While living in Denver, Chino worked for Samsonite and a brokerage firm.

In 1989, Chino, once again, moved to Montclair, California. While living in California, Chino held various jobs and traveled to Africa and other foreign countries on business and pleasure. Chino enjoyed watching sporting events with his friends, traveling back home, and to other cities for the Woods' Family Reunions.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Ian Gresham-O'Hara; father, Jimmie Lee O'Hara; siblings, Resa Watkins (Ronnie), Lisa O'Hara (Dana), Michelle O'Hara, Scott O'Hara (Theresa), Rossman O'Hara, Hubert (Pep) O'Hara, Eric O'Hara (Carla), James O'Hara; nephews and nieces, Scott O'Hara, Jr. (June-bug), Gabriel O'Hara, Vaughn O'Hara, Connor O'Hara, Jamar Ceaser, Devon O'Hara, Dwayne O'Hara, Eric Glenn, Jr., Chavonna Larkin O'Hara, Risa Watkins, Kia Robinson, Shawnee Edwards, Azalea Layton, Erica O'Hara; great-nephews and nieces, and favorite Uncle Bobby and a host of other family and friends.


Funeral Ceremony will be at 12:00 pm Friday, April 19, 2019 with a visitation from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.
