Christopher Jones Sr.

Christopher L. Jones Sr., age 97, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Monday, September 23, 2013. Christopher was born on June 15, 1916, in Gray Court, South Carolina to the late Wesley and Charlotte Jones.

He retired from Fisher Body of Hamilton and was a Deacon at Greater Canaan Missionary Baptist Church. Christopher was a member of the Widow's Son Masonic Lodge #78 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He enjoyed baseball, basketball and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, former wife, Lonia Jones; siblings, Roy Jones, Cora Jones, Corrine Jones, Jerome Jones, A. C. Jones, Aileen Rhodes, James Wesley Jones, and Norah Jones. Christopher is survived by his children, Christopher L. Jones Jr. and his wife Beverly, Gail Jones, and Joseph Jones; brother, John Jones; and partner of more than 25 years, Barbara Brown; 8 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.



The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
