Clifford E. Fullman

October 1, 1930 — December 29, 2020

Clifford was born in Los Angeles, California at the height of the Great Depression. He attended school there until he moved to Kansas City, MO in February 1946. He graduated from Southwest High School in June 1949 and moved on to attend Missouri State University until 1951. To "beat the Draft" Clifford enlisted in the United States Navy, serving 4 years during the Korean War. He was stationed on bases in San Diego; in the mountains of Wahiawa on Oahu, Hawaii; Rhode Island briefly for training; and finally Beeville, Texas where he was honorably discharged.

At a DeMolay dance in 1948, Clifford met Caryl Susan Cooley. They became super close friends and often danced together – just as pals. Home on Leave in January 1954, he changed her mind and became "officially" engaged in January 1955, and married in March 1957. Following his discharge from the military, he attended Kansas University attaining a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Clifford was then first employed at Mallinkrodt Chemical Works in St. Louis and later his career job at General Electric in Evendale, Ohio.

Always involved with Freemasonry, Clifford was raised at Westgate Lodge, St. Louis in 1965 and transferred in Avon Lodge (now Avon-Miami Lodge). During his time with Avon Lodge he served as Master twice and served as most of the other positions at one time or another. He was also a very active Scottish rite with membership in Syrian Shrine following soon after. Clifford became a member of the Divan in 2000, progressing to the position of Potentate in 2004. He then was elected to the position of Treasurer in 2005 and served in this capacity off and on for the next 15 years. Clifford was awarded into the DeMolay Legion of Honor in 2005, having already attained the Chevalier honor previously. In partnership with Caryl, he represented Portsmouth, Ohio Shrine Club from 2000 until his death.

Clifford attained the highest Masonic Honor being bestowed as a 33° Mason.
Throughout it all, Clifford gave help or guidance to anyone who requested it. One of Cliff's most satisfying commitments was serving on the Board of Directors of the Shriners Hospital for Children in Lexington, KY for over 20 years.

A super Engineer, Cliff could repair or explain the workings of almost anything. His greatest joys and pleasures were with his family to whom he was completely devoted. He was an amazing Husband and Father. He participated in the activities of his "3" girls: Wife, Caryl Susan Cooley Fullman; Daughter, Melanie Beth Fullman (Bill Baer); and, Daughter, Laura Caryl Fullman Brown (Grant). For 12 years he hauled musical instruments onto band performance fields as a "roadie" or attending almost all May Festival Chorus concerts. He also found himself surrounded by loving grandchildren: Thomas Michael Woolery (Kate); Grant Edward Brown, Jr.; Amanda Lynde Brown; and Blake Edward Brown. Clifford even enjoyed his 4 wonderful Great-Grandchildren: Chistopher Daniel Bernardo; Lucy Bren Woolery; Samuel Grant Woolery; and Addison May Potts.

He will be deeply missed…..
