Connie Sue McKean, born on December 28, 1953, in Covington, Kentucky, left this world on February 13, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, love, and cherished memories. A true social butterfly, Connie lit up every room she entered with her effervescent spirit and infectious laughter. She was a proud mother and grandmother, dedicating herself wholeheartedly to her family and friends.
Connie was the beloved daughter of the late Carl Barnes and Juanita Barnes (Newkirk). They instilled in her the values of kindness and resilience, which she shared generously with all those around her. Throughout her life, Connie embraced every opportunity to dance, travel, and explore the world, creating countless adventures and joyous moments that she later shared with those she loved.
She is survived by her daughters, Amy McKean and Andrea (Kevin) Brooks, who were the light of her life. Connie found joy in being a grandmother to her three grandchildren: Jack, Harris, and Nora Rose, who brought her immense pride and happiness. Additionally, her loving sister, Debbie (Jerry) Jackson, remained a steadfast companion throughout her life, along with cherished nieces Kelly (Brian) Newborn and Heather (Ryan) Simpkins, and a nephew, Kevin (Megan) Jackson, and the father of her children, WIlliam Allen McKean.
A devoted mother and grandmother, she celebrated each milestone and moment with enthusiasm and love. Connie's kindness, passion for life, and unwavering love for her family and friends will be deeply missed but forever remembered. Her legacy will continue to inspire those whom she touched, reminding us to cherish the moments we have and the people we love.
A celebration of Connie’s Life will be held for family and friends at a later date.
