Connie Jean Warner

March 21, 1946 — January 9, 2025

Elsmere

Connie Jean Warner (nee Simms), a loving matriarch and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025, in Elsmere, Kentucky, surrounded by her beloved family. Born on March 21, 1946, in Covington, Kentucky, Connie's nurturing spirit defined her life and the lives of those she touched.

A 1964 graduate of Our Lady of Providence in Newport, Connie dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her role as a homemaker, caring diligently for her family. Her life was enriched by her unwavering love for her husband, Wayne Warner, with whom she shared 57 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they created a home filled with laughter, warmth, and a profound sense of belonging that was the cornerstone of their family life.

Connie's devotion extended beyond her role as a wife. She was a loving mother to her children, Karen (Ken) Sparks, Tammy (Wayne) Wagner, Tina (Brian) Beach, and Michael (Shannon) Warner. Her pride and joy stemmed from her role as a grandmother, where she embraced every moment spent with her numerous grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Connie’s hobby of crafting, particularly sewing and crocheting, brought her great joy, as she made cherished baby blankets for each child in the family—a testament to her thoughtfulness and creativity.

Her caring nature was not just reserved for her family. Connie had a knack for cultivating relationships, cherishing the company of friends and relatives alike. She was known for her loving and kind personality, traits that drew people to her and made her an integral part of the community around her. Whether through her love of shopping, visiting the Cincinnati Zoo and Krohn Conservatory, or the simple joys of everyday life, Connie found fulfillment in dedicating her time and life to those she loved.

Preceding her in death were her father, Gordon Simms, and her mother, Lorraine Simms (nee Eschenbach). Connie is survived by her adoring husband, Wayne, her cherished children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her brother Ronnie (Linda) Simms, and her sister Carol (David) Donnermeyer, as well as a host of other family members and friends who will deeply miss her presence.

Connie's life will be honored on January 17, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4350 Dixie Hwy. Erlanger, Kentucky 41018. Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 PM.
