LEACH, Cora age 87, of Lincoln Heights, Ohio passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2017. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on January 30, 1930 to George and Katherine Baker (nee Middleton).
Cora's formative education began in Louisville, Kentucky where she attended Madison Junior High School and Central High School. She moved to Cincinnati and graduated from Lockland Wayne High School. Cora was a very unique person, she constantly gave of herself, always there when someone needed a helping hand or an uplifting word. At a young age, she joined Mount Zion Baptist Church and sang in the Glee Club. Later in life she united with Lincoln Heights Baptist Church.
Cora worked at the County Home Hospital for 15 years, then 10 years at Shillitos Department Store. Her last employment was with Caring Heart Home Health Care.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Anthony Jackson; 4 sisters, and 2 brothers. Cora is survived by her beloved children, Wendy (Voy) Tribble, Brent Jackson, grandchildren, Ian (Linda) Jackson, , D'monn Baker, Chadd Baker, Yahriel Cue; siblings, Deb Brown, John Baker, James Baker; husband, Charles Leach; nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members and friends.
In loving memory of Cora, contributions may be made to SPCA Cincinnati, 11900 Conrey Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45249. Visitation will be from 12 pm - 1 pm on Friday, February 10, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231. There will be a short graveside service following at Oak Hill Cemetery.
