Daniel Brooks Hawkins

Daniel Brooks Hawkins, age 68, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2024. He was born in Cincinnati on November 3, 1956, to Brooks and Jean Hawkins (née Welemirrow).

Daniel valiantly faced a battle with brain cancer, which he approached with remarkable strength. He will be remembered for his friendly personality, easy-going nature, and level-headedness. A dedicated family man, he enjoyed spending time with his loved ones, cheering on the Cincinnati Bengals and The Ohio State University Football team. Daniel also enjoyed kayaking, and treasured vacations at the beach in Florida. He made a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Daniel is reunited in death with his father, Brooks Hawkins; mother, Jean Hawkins; and brother, Steven Hawkins. He leaves behind his cherished wife, Claudia Hawkins (née Bauman); beloved sons, Nick Hawkins and Andrew Hawkins; sister, Jenny Hoeh; sister-in-law, Connie Hawkins; and a host of other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

The family expresses heartfelt gratitude for the support they received during this challenging time, feeling truly blessed to have so many caring people in their lives.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, November 15, 2024, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, located at 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 17 Farragut Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45218.
