Daniel Medecke

Daniel Medecke, age 72, of Cheviot, Ohio, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on October 20, 1952, to Louis W. and Marion Medecke (nee Schrohenloher).

Daniel was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Marion Medecke; father, Louis W. Medecke, Sr.; and brother, Stephen M. Medecke. He is survived by his cherished wife of 27 years, Nina Medecke (nee Locke); his brother, Louis W. Medecke, Jr.; son, Anthony (Mindy) Rice; grandchildren, Skayler and Piper; as well as nephews Louis (Crystal), Jeremy (Lynelle), Michael (Kimberly), and Tony (Mike); great-nephews Nathan and Nicolas; great-niece Cory; and great-nieces Katie and Alyssa. He is also remembered by many other family members and friends who will carry on his legacy.

Daniel was a man who truly enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He had a passion for fishing and cherished time spent with his family. Travel was one of his joys, and he shared wonderful moments with his two beloved pets, Socks and Princess. Daniel had a special bond with his brother from another mother, Sammy, which enriched his life.

In loving memory of Daniel, contributions may be made to the SPCA, St. Jude's, or Shriners Hospitals for Children. A funeral ceremony will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 18, 2025, with visitation starting at 9:00 AM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - West Side Chapel, located at 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Old Cemetery, 3819 W. 8th St., Cincinnati, OH 45205.
